For an engineering group that welcomes many candidates every day, the first impression is not made in the recruiter’s office. It begins long before: a message, an address, a door, a moment of waiting. VS-FACTORY® guided ALTEN through upstream thinking, at the preliminary design stage, to link these moments into a single welcome story.
The candidate is expected, recognised and guided, without ever having to repeat themselves, and the flow of visitors organises itself.
Designing the place before fitting it out.
Waiting becomes a time of discovery: candidates know where they stand and how long remains, and already step into the world of the group’s projects. Then comes the meeting, seamless, all the way to their interviewer.
This study was first and foremost a tool for dialogue. By staging the journey before any works began, it gave the client’s teams and the architects common ground: the welcome, the circulation, the place of waiting and of human presence. A user-centred perspective brought in before the fit-out, so that the space serves the experience.
